If you are looking for simpler alternatives to Adobe Premiere and with quality transitions, I would recommend you some video editors: AVS video editor, Sony Vegas Pro, Corel VideoStudio, ApowerEdit, Movie Maker.
TL;DR - Title I've had experience with Adobe Premiere Elements CS3 (hope I got the name right), in high school but that was years ago and my recollection is pretty vague. I'm working on a work project and PowerPoint won't suffice for the quality that is expected. I plan to include quality transitions between a lot of different pictures and information, possibly with music in the background. In word 2010 for a mac what does banded rows mean. There will be some videos in certain sections also. I just want it all to flow together seamlessly and look professional.
I would like to put in some nice effects that would maybe provide some wow factor. Basically I just want a free version of Premier that is easy to use for a beginner like myself. Sorry for the novel. Thank you all in advance!!!
Davinci Resolve - About two weeks ago, I searched reddit, google and other various sources for a video editing program. I came across all the usual open source and free ones.
I looked at: Lighworks, ezvid, avidemux, and virtualdub. Just to name a few. I tired lightworks, it was okay but crashed. I was kind of put off because they want info before download. But man, that program is pretty nice when it comes to just about everything. The free version should be more than enough. Lots of youtube videos and plenty of options.
Note: You will not be able to work with.AVI media. Export options are mostly.mov format.
