Cons: Crashes every now and then, doesn't support more esoteric formats, editing is mainly limited to cropping (Which other's might consider a plus as this is mainly an image viewer, but I wouldn't mind some simple exposure/hue/saturation/brightness/leveling tweaks). Malwarebytes mac download. Verdict: Recommended. It opens 100x faster than iphotos and preview and also makes the photo viewing experience painless, letting me switch between images really fast. The few bugs withstanding (It has been deprecated in favor of a paid successor so not surprising that it's unsupported), its great. I've finally had the time to review a few programs that were suggested here. These are CSlide, Regards Viewer, and mrViewer (suggested by Panzer) along with Photo Browser (suggested by Anupam, though discarded by himself later), and CoolUtils Viewer as one that I wanted to review myself.
(Which my post was about) Keybinds are just keyboard shortcuts. So the old Xee would let me bind the right arrow key to view the next image or the next album, or to even scroll around the image, all because the program let me choose my own bindings.
I do suggest trying out the 2.2 version though. My post above was all about Xee 2.2 since you said you were looking for free image viewers.
Xee 3 seems drastically different (since it is a rewrite) with different features so my review doesn't apply to that, sorry.
