Apple has just officially released iOS 12. Apple announced iOS 12 at WWDC in June and then gave a heads-up about the release date at the new iPhone event last week. IOS 12 emphasizes performance.

Screen Time for iOS 12 Another highly anticipated feature in iOS 12 is Screen Time. As part of a digital health initiative, Apple created this feature to help users who tend to lose track of the amount of time they spend looking at their devices.
Screen Time shows analytics around how much time is spent using your device, each individual app and Internet browsing activity. And Screen Time’s reports include a Today View, a weekly report, app usage and the number of device pickups. And Screen Time will allow parents to restrict how much time kids spend using apps and websites. Kids will be able to request more time for approval when their allowed time expires, which will show up as a notification on their parents’ devices. Plus there is a Downtime feature in Screen Time where you can set a specific time when you want apps and notifications to be hidden. Exceptions can be created so that your kids can access certain apps during Downtime like Messages and certain education apps.
Group FaceTime. Group FaceTime Group FaceTime is another highly anticipated feature. With Group FaceTime, users can make FaceTime calls with up to 32 people at the same time. Audio and video Group FaceTime calls can be answered through the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
And audio Group FaceTime calls work through the Apple Watch and HomePod. The speaker appears front and center during a Group FaceTime call and you can double tap on the person that you want to see close up. Group FaceTime sessions can be started from group texts in the Messages app.
And you can also see and join active calls from the conversation list. Word 2011 for mac crashes when changing fonts. Group FaceTime calls also support Animoji, Memoji and filters. Plus you can quickly apply text effects, shapes and stocks to photos during Group FaceTime calls as well. Siri Shortcuts And Improvements Siri has been enhanced in iOS 12. For example, there is a new Shortcuts app that is powered by Siri. Plus Siri for iOS 12 has suggestions, the ability to Add to Siri, translations, celebrity facts, food knowledge, Photo Memories, password search, motorsports scores, flashlight control, Find My iPhone and a Shortcuts API. Siri suggestions have been improved where it can detect daily routines and automatically suggest you to pull up third-party apps based on your schedule. Plus this will be built into the Lock screen or the main Spotlight search.
The new Shortcuts app will allow you to customize your own shortcuts for setting up multiple steps at once. This is similar to IFTTT is you are familiar with that service. For example, your iPhone can automatically pull up a coffee order from your local Starbucks location when you walk out of your home. Siri Shortcuts The “Add to Siri” feature allows you to add shortcuts in Siri. This allows you to create your own commands for the digital assistant using your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or HomePod. The new version of Siri can make many more translations.
Siri can now translate sentences for over 50 language pairs. Celebrity fact support has been added to Siri.
