Nov 21, 2017 Can't delete recent addresses in Outlook 2016 for Mac I have a bunch of old email addresses that are no longer valid that keep popping up as suggestions when adding addresses to emails. Many times, I accidentally select the wrong one. Outlook 2016 (Mac): Clear the E-mail Cache. Favorite Article Print Article [Return to Office 2016: LSU Overview] To Clear the Email Cache: 1. Open up Outlook 2016. Right-click the desired folder and scroll down to Properties. The Properties window should appear.
I have 557 contacts in Exchange yet only 512 of them are syncing to Outlook 2016 for MAC. I recreated each of the 45 missing contacts through Outlook 2013 for Windows, including the contact photos. 37 of the missing contacts synced into Outlook 2016 for Mac WITHOUT the contact photos. 8 of the contacts did not sync at all. The difference between the 8 and the 37 is that the 8 users had uploaded contact photos through OWA. Although I replaced them on them on my client created contact, they still did not sync.
After I had the 37 contacts re-synced without their photos, I removed and re-added the account to Outlook 2016 for Mac in an effort to get them to sync completely The 37 contacts that synced WITHOUT photos AFTER they were recreated FAILED to sync after the account was removed and re-added. Of course, the 8 contacts that never synced due to photos in their OWA account did not sync either. After recreating one of the contacts that was previously re-created and did sync before the account was removed and re-added, it did sync the contact without the photo. So now, after removing and re-adding the account, I am back in the same boat. Also, Outlook 2013 for Windows and Contacts.app on Mac are in sync. Hi, Based on my research, this seems to be a known issue.

Today we released some useful utilities for Mac Outlook 2016. OutlookSearchRepair (): This utility will repair search results for Microsoft Outlook. Why use it: Search results within Outlook show nothing or return older items only such as when you are looking for an email you know you have and might already be looking at it but it doesn't show up in the search result. How to use: • Open OutlookSearchRepair utility. • Follow the instructions and remove any duplicate installations of Outlook if more than one installation is detected. If no duplicates are detected, you can skip to step 3 below. 
After removing duplicate Outlook installations, a restart is required.
Once your system is restarted, the Outlook Search Repair utility may reopen. Quit and relaunch the Outlook Search Repair if it reopens upon restarting.
• Click the “Reindex” button. The Outlook Search Repair Utility will show “Reindexing, please wait” while it works. This process can take up to an hour or longer depending on the size of your Outlook profile. Please allow this utility to complete. Outlook does not need to be open while the repair occurs. Spotlight search will be slower and might not be complete while the index is repaired.
Once the repair is completed, you’ll see: “Done!” “Reindexing has completed!” You can quit Outlook Search Repair Utility once you see that message. OutlookResetPreferences (): This utility will reset all Outlook Preferences back to defaults. Why use it: This utility resets customizations you've made to Outlook from the Outlook menu > Preferences.
It also stores settings of the Outlook window size and position. Increase dpi of image mac for photo contest. This utility shouldn't be needed often but we made it just in case. The Outlook Preferences file does not contain all the app's preferences and reseting Outlook Preferences will not remove email or account settings. How to use: • Open OutlookResetPreferences utility.
